Yes, obviously the Americans don't have enough history to realise that the great English longbow is nothing at all like the silly bows and arrows of their native indians. Not when you can punch a hole through plate armour from 300 yards with it. Er, anyway, so there aren't any proper missile weapons, they're all magic powered, from vats of red and blue magic. Needless to say the more powerful the magic weapon, the more mana they use and the quicker it's back to hitting people with a stick. Fortunately you can collect blobs of spinning mana that happen to be lying around everywhere.
